This website is operated by MPW Group GmbH (FN 585953 x), hereinafter “we”, “us” and “MPW”, with its registered office at Edt 41, 4201 Eidenberg. In this data protection declaration, we, as the person responsible in accordance with Article 4 Paragraph 7 of the EU GDPR, describe what data we collect when you visit our website and for what purpose we process it. All relevant contact details can be found in point 10 of this data protection agreement. Since the protection of your personal data is particularly important to us, we strictly adhere to the legal requirements of the Dsg and the EU GDPR when collecting and processing your personal data. Below we will inform you in detail about the scope and purpose of our data processing as well as your rights as a data subject. Please read our data protection declaration carefully before you continue to use our website and, if necessary, give your consent to data processing.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, there may be different regulations for the use of individual services, which we will point out to you separately. So - apart from the cookies described in detail below - we only collect and store the data that you provide to us by inserting it into our input masks or by actively interacting with our website in some other way. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number or date of birth.
a. If you only use our website for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register for a service or otherwise provide us with information - for example via a contact form - we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you would like to visit our website, we collect the following data that is technically necessary for us to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f EU GDPR:
b. Without your consent we only use cookies and similar technologies (e.g. localStorage) where they are strictly necessary to operate the website (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This includes storing your cookie choice in your browser.
c. All other cookies and similar technologies – statistics (Google Analytics), marketing (Google advertising signals) and external media (embedded third-party content) – are only set or loaded after you have agreed to the respective category (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until then, embedded content shows a placeholder. The services used are described in section 6; the categories and how to manage your consent are described under “Cookie consent and tracking” at the end of this privacy policy.
d. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; in that case some functions of the website may not be available.
Personal data that goes beyond the information stored by cookies will only be processed by us if you voluntarily provide them to us, for example when you register with us, enter into a contractual relationship with us or otherwise contact us. This only concerns contact details and information about the concerns with which you approach us.
We use the personal data you provide exclusively in the context of fulfilling the respective purpose of processing (e.g. registration, sending newsletters, processing an order, sending information material and advertising, running a competition, answering a question, enabling access to certain information) and/or this is permitted by law (in particular in accordance with Article 6 EU GDPR) (e.g. sending advertising and information material to existing customers).
The purpose of processing your data is to operate our website and to provide targeted company-specific information, including the presentation of our range of goods and services (marketing). Any further use of your data will only take place to the extent that you have previously expressly consented. You can revoke your consent at any time in the future, as explained in detail below.
We generally store data that you have provided to us exclusively for customer service or for marketing and information purposes until three years after our last contact. However, if you wish, we will delete your data before this period expires, provided there is no legal obstacle to this.
If a contract is initiated or concluded, we will process your personal data after the contract has been fully processed until the expiry of the guarantee, warranty, limitation and statutory retention periods applicable to us, and beyond that until the end of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.
You have the option of subscribing to our free newsletter. With this newsletter you will regularly receive all the latest news and information about our company as well as tailored advertising. In order to receive our newsletter, you need a valid email address.
We will check the email address you entered in our registration form to see whether you actually want to receive newsletters. This is done by sending you an email to the email address you provided, which you can confirm receipt of by clicking on a link provided. After confirming the email, you are registered for our newsletter. (Double opt-in)
When you first register for the newsletter, we save your IP address, the date and time of your registration. This is done for security reasons in the event that a third party misuses your email address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. We do not collect or process any further data for the newsletter subscription; the data is used exclusively to receive the newsletter.
Unless you object to this, we will transfer your data within our company for the purpose of analysis and to transmit information for advertising purposes. Within the group of companies, the data you provided to us to receive the newsletter will be compared with data that we may otherwise collect (e.g. when purchasing goods or booking a service).
To manage sign-ups and send the newsletter we use Mailchimp, a service of Intuit Inc. (USA), as a processor. Your e-mail address is only transmitted to Mailchimp when you submit the sign-up form; before that, no Mailchimp content is loaded on our website. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in the confirmation e-mail and in every newsletter. As Mailchimp processes data in the USA, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Beyond this, we do not pass on your newsletter data to third parties outside our group of companies.
Below we inform you about the services used on this website. Services that require consent are only loaded after you have agreed to the respective category in the cookie settings; you can withdraw your consent there at any time with effect for the future.
The website and the related applications at apps.mpw-lichttechnik.com (product catalogue, references, Google reviews, partner locator) are operated on our behalf by our IT service provider cloudstrata and provided on the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Ireland). The access data listed in section 2 a. are processed to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you send us a message via the contact form, the “Become a partner” form or the application form, we process the data you enter (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, company, message and, for applications, your documents) to handle your enquiry or application (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data are forwarded to us by e-mail: contact and partner enquiries to kontakt@mpw.at, applications to bewerbung@mpw-group.at. For sending, our IT service provider uses an e-mail server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). To monitor delivery, our IT service provider receives a copy of contact and partner enquiries; applications are not copied. The form contents are not stored permanently on the web server itself.
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). Google Analytics sets cookies to evaluate the use of the website statistically (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, approximate location, device and browser information). It cannot be ruled out that data are transferred to Google LLC in the USA; this transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google's advertising features (Consent Mode: storage and use for advertising purposes) are only enabled if you also agree to the “Marketing” category.
With your consent we embed content from the following providers. When this content is loaded, a connection to the provider's servers is established; in particular your IP address, browser information and the page visited are transmitted, and the provider may set cookies. Without your consent you see a placeholder at this point from which you can load individual items.
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area or process data there, in particular in the USA. Where no adequacy decision (e.g. the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) applies to the provider, there is a risk that authorities may access the data and that your rights can only be enforced to a limited extent. By giving your consent you also consent to this transfer (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).
The Google reviews shown on the home page are retrieved by our server via a Google interface and served by us. Your browser does not connect to Google for this, and no data about you are transmitted to Google. Google's privacy policy only applies once you click the link to the reviews on Google.
Our website contains links to other websites, for example to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and X. These are simple links, not social media plugins: no data are transmitted to these networks when you visit our website. Only when you click a link do you leave our website; the processing of data by the respective operator is then governed by its privacy policy.
Fonts and icons are loaded from our own server; no connection to external font providers is established.
In principle, your data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so, the transfer of data is necessary to carry out a contractual relationship concluded between us or you have previously expressly consented to the transfer of your data. External processors or other cooperation partners will only receive your data if this is necessary for contract processing or if we have a legitimate interest in doing so. If one of our processors comes into contact with your personal data, we will ensure that they comply with the provisions of data protection laws in the same way as we do.
We will not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties outside the group.
If our contractual partners or processors are based in a third country, i.e. a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.
We use numerous technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction and access by third parties. Our security measures are continually improved in line with technological developments on the Internet.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act, you as the person affected by our data processing have the following rights and legal remedies:
As a data subject, you have the right to request information about whether and, if so, what personal data about you is being processed. For your own protection - so that no one else receives information about your data - it may be necessary for us to verify your identity in an appropriate manner.
You have the right to immediately request the correction of incorrect personal data concerning you or - taking into account the purposes of data processing - the completion of incomplete personal data and the deletion of your data, provided that the criteria of Article 17 EU GDPR are met.
Under the legal requirements, you have the right to restrict the processing of all personal data collected. From the time of the restriction request, this data will only be processed with individual consent or to assert and enforce legal claims.
You can request the unhindered and unrestricted transfer of collected personal data to a third party.
You can, for reasons relating to your particular situation, object at any time to the processing of your personal data that is necessary to protect our legitimate interests or those of a third party. Your data will no longer be processed after you object, unless there are compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. You can object to data processing for direct advertising purposes at any time with future effect.
If you have separately given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time. Such a revocation affects the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data after you have given it to us.
If you take a measure to enforce your rights under the GDPR listed above, we must comment on the requested measure or comply with the request immediately, but no later than one month after receipt of your request.
We will respond to all reasonable requests within the legal framework free of charge and as quickly as possible.
The data protection authority is responsible for applications regarding violations of the right to information, violation of the rights to confidentiality, to rectification or to deletion.
